>Are there limitations to this process?
We can convert all images in 3D where a human can recognize what is shown on the image.
This process is mainly meant for images of Humans and Animals. We can and regularly convert images with buildings, vehicles and machines, etc.
We cover 180 degrees of the image. (What is seen by the camera).
We can only convert what is seen on the image. This means if you have an object in front of another object, this front object will cast a shadow/create a hole on the object in the back.
We do have to use the same angle in which the picture was taken. We take the image 1:1 and create a matching geometry for it, so we cannot change the angle. Also perspective distortions (applies mainly for buildings or cars) will be included in the modelling, which may look a bit odd from the side in some cases.
Over 90% of our jobs include humans and animals and for this the service is mainly suited.
>Can we convert people in old black and white photos to 3D?
Yes, no problem, we can also use damaged images or very blurry. However, we do not improve images. We take the image as 1:1 input. This means that the flaws of the input image will also be in the output. If our customer is ok with the quality of the image and a human can recognize what it is, then we can use it.
>Can you convert pictures of people and animals posing together?
Yes.
>Can you convert pics of animals?
Yes
>Can you convert any 2D hair style to 3D?
Yes . Hair is sometimes a bit tricky. For economical reasons we cannot model each strand/streak separately)
>Would it be more beneficial to send you more than one image of a person’s face to give more detail of the person or is the one photo enough?
No, the process is designed for one input image only. Of course, we cannot create a 100% biometrical matching 3D representation as this information is simply lost.
Can I change or cancel my order after I already placed my order?
Once your order has been submitted, we will immediately begin work. Remember, all orders are bespoke and unique to you. So, if you need to cancel, please contact us within 10 minutes of ordering at info@3dportraitsireland.ie.
Cancellation is free within 10 Minutes of receiving the order.
All cancelled or changed orders (after 10 minutes from ordering) will incur a 20% restocking fee.
What is your return policy?
We want you to LOVE your crystal and we'll do whatever it takes to ensure you are satisfied. If you are not happy with the outcome, please let us know the reason and we will make it right. We want to be fair to all our customers on how we handle customer service scenarios when they arise.
If there is a manufacturer defect on arrival i.e. damaged crystal or objective flaw:
Send us the photo of the defect and the packaging within 48 hours of receiving your crystal to info@3dportraitsireland.ie. We will confirm the issue and remake your crystal. You will be required to ship the original crystal back to us to get a replacement.
Being a custom product, please understand we incur costs as soon as we start working on your project and therefore are firm on the above cancellation / photo change / order change / return policy.
